The much anticipated debut album release from Counterstrike has taken over a year to create and showcases the current pinnacle of their audio, visual, creative and technical artistry.
Counterstrike also known as Animal Chin and 500 Mills or Justin Counterstrike & Eaton Crous respectively, have been drum ‘n bass DJ’s/promoters/producers in South Africa since the mid 90’s. Collectively producing since 1998, they’ve sold over 60 000 records on various high profile labels such as Rob Playford’s Moving Shadow, Dieselboy’s Human and Dylan’s Obscene.
Insubordination will feature Counterstrike tunes along with collaborations and remixes with people like The Panacea, Current Value and Donny. There are no fillers or noodling experiments in other genres, just 100% high energy drum ‘n bass aimed at the harder spectrum of the dancefloor. The kind of sound Counterstrike fans know and expect. It does what it says on the box, but they’ve put enough time and effort into the album that it’s not just hard for the sake of being hard. It has enough twists and turns to keep you coming back for more.

Кому понравился Appleseed, рекомендую и это посмотреть, тоже должно понравиться! Весьма неплохое анимешко. Главная героиня слегка даже похожа на героиню из Appleseed (или это мне так показалось). Музыка в основном Paul Oakenfold-а.

Writing and recording sessions for this album lasted for almost two years, making it the longest time The Offspring have ever spent working on an album. Although drummer Atom Willard (who left in July 2007) was still a member of the band during the recording, session musician Josh Freese actually handled the drum tracks, like he did on the previous album Splinter. Due to contract issues with Geffen Records, Willard was not supposed to do recording on the album and later decided to leave the band and continue his duties in Angels & Airwaves full time whilst Face to Face drummer Pete Parada joined the band just in time for the tour.

Первое впечатление: ВАУ! Неожиданно! Явно старался при создании - заводной хардкорно-брейкорный расколбасс!
Не знаю, было ли так на самом деле, но такое ощущение, что он специально сидел и выбирал все самое лучшее из всех предыдущих миксов, как из собственных, так и из бывших MFC Team-овских, и сделал это “лучшее” еще лучше! Темп не убавляется на протяжении всего микса!
Обалдейнеший darkstep! Е%№шит по мозгам что надо!!
